He has composed and directed some of the highly acclaimed songs that have come out of the Gujarati film industry.

Thakkar was born on 9 July 1989 to Bharat Thakkar and Kiran Thakkar in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. He stepped into the world of music at the age of three, and had always had a profound interest in music. He did his schooling at St. Kabir School in Ahmedabad, and from St. Xavier’s School, Mirzapur, where he used to take part in music competitions. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Performing Arts from JP College of Performing Arts.

He ventured into the Gujarati music industry at the age of 20. He was asked to compose a music album for' ‘RJ Dhvanit’ from Radio Mirchi, Ahmedabad. The album was titled ‘Majja Ni Life’. The film was a box-office hit and his songs were appreciated. The success of the film got him more opportunities. He has composed music for many successful films like ‘Chhello Divas- A New Beginning,’ ‘Gujjubhai- Most Wanted,’ ‘Daav Thai GayoYaar,’ ‘Sharato Lagu,’ ‘Love Ni Bhavani,’ and many more.
