PLOT

“Casino Jack” is inspired by real life events and hints are dropped that a character is “real-ly” the character from real life. Jack Abramoff is a powerful lobbyist in Washington and has strong political connections all over the state. As “Casino Jack” begins, Jack with his partner, Michael gets involved with a Mafia-connected hood, Adam. Jack spends most of the profit gained from charitable works but seems to be always low on cash. But the corruption doesn’t last long, and soon Jack and Michael find themselves amidst trouble.

ANALYSIS

Kevin Spacey is truly a delight to watch in “Casino Jack”. The movie is clearly about a greedy and terrible person, yes terrible! Although Abramoff does some good charitable word all this while the ground realities cannot be ignored. Later or sooner, as it is said, one has to be for his deeds and so does Abramoff. There’s a lot of shouting and violence in the movie. Also, not to forget the high-level of foul language used. Comparatively, the first half of the movie offers many delights to watch than the second part.

STAR PERFORMANCES

Kevin Spacey is the highlight of the movie. He could be the most appropriate choice for the character of Abramoff. It is Spacey’s performance that contains most of the mystery and the movie revolves around him.

The movie gives a message that comes may what, one has to pay eventually for his deeds.

VERDICT

Kevin Spacey’s fans should must watch this movie as I’m sure they’ll go ga-ga over this. Director George Hickenlooper does a tremendous job and so does the writer, Norman Snider.
