Here is the list of some hit songs from Bollywood and their original versions from the Tamil industry.

1. Ok Jaanu

It was copied from the Tamil song "Mental Manadhil," which was from director Mani Ratnam’s movie "Ok Kanmani," and both movies' titles were the same: "Ok Jaanu" in Hindi and "Ok Kanmani" in Tamil. Hindi song was filmed on Aditya Roy Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor, and a Tamil song by actors Dulquer Salmaan and Nitya Menon. "Ok Kanmani" was released in 2015, and the Hindi movie "Ok Jaanu" was released in 2017 and becamesmash hit in both movies. A.R. Rahman composed the music for both films.

2. Dhinka Chika

Salman Khan’s and Asin’s super hit movie ‘Ready’ song "Dhinka Chika," which became very popular in 2011, was the version of the Tamil song Ringa Ringa. In the film "Arya 2," Allu Arjun acted on this song, and in the film "Ready," Salman and Asin perform together.

3. Humma Humma

The "Humma Humma" song was a massive hit in the 90's era, from the romantic movie "Bombay" (1995). Music was composed by A.R. Rahman and the song was viral then, so in the film "Ok Jaanu," they took the same theme and gave it a new style. In the Hindi version, Aditya Roy Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor played the leads.

4. Urvashi Urvashi

We can see the remake of the 90’s Tamil movie Kadhalan’s hit song, Urvashi Urvashi in Bhushan Kumar’s official music video "Urvashi," which was filmed with the stunning actor Shahid Kapoor and the beautiful and gorgeous actress Kiara Advani. The "Urvashi" song was a remake of the 1994 Tamil romantic drama movie "Kadhalan," starring Prabhu Deva and Nagma, which had an all-time popular song, written and composed by A.R. Rahman. The old song was sung by Suresh Peter, Shahul Hameed, and A.R. Rahman, and its Hindi version is sung and composed by Yo Yo Honey Singh.

5. Jiya Jale Jaan Jale (Dil Se, 1998)

The song "Jiya Jale" (Dil Se, 1998) is also a version of the Tamil song Nenji Nile Nenji. Shahrukh Khan and Preity Zinta in the movie "Dil Se" acted on this song and the singers of its Hindi version was legendary Lata Mangeshkar and M.G. Sreekumar. Jiya Jale song lyrics were written by Gulzar, and its Tamil version lyrics were written by Vairamuthu with music by A.R. Rahman.

6. Mukkala Mukabla

The actor and break dancer Prabhu Deva’s song Mukkala Mukabla was a hit song in the Tamil movie "Kadhalan," which was a love story. The song was recreated in the movie Street Dancer 3D. Varun Dhawan, Shraddha Kapoor, and Nora Fatehi acted on this song. New song composed by Sachin-Jigar, Tanishk Bagchi, Badshah, and Guru Randhawa.

7. Haseen Wadiya (Roja, 1992)

Haseen wadiya was a hit song in the 90s from Mani Ratnam’s movie. The singers of its Hindi version were Balasubrahmanyam and K.S. Chithra. The original version of this song is in Tamil, which is sung by Unni Menon and Sujatha. Its lyrics were written by Vairamathu. The Hindi version of this song was very beautiful, like the Tamil song, and its Hindi version was written by P.K. Mishra.

8. Tu Hi Re (Bombay, 1995)

"Tu HI Re" was the most heart-touching song of the 90s from the movie "Bombay." This was an iconic song, and the original version was in Tamil called "Uyire." The Tamil version is sung by K.S. Madhavan's Tamil romantic film "Minnale," starring actress Reema Sen, was a smash hit, and all of the songs in the film were excellent.
