It premiered on 15th August 2015 and continued up until 30th January 2016 wrapping up with a total of 48 episodes revolving around two families. The story revolves around Jehangir and Mehtaab. Jehangir is portrayed as a kind but vain boy who judges a book by its cover. His father is a man who is attracted to beauty but fails to recognize the true beauty that can be hidden underneath. Mehtaab on the other hand is portrayed as a nurse who had a divorce recently. She is a kind and patient woman who always helps people who are in need of her assistance. Since his childhood, Jehangir had a crush on Mehtaab who takes shelter in their house and is much older than him.

With time his feelings continue to develop and he falls for her beauty. Jehangir's father had an affair with another woman because he considered his wife unattractive. He even proposes to Mehtaab later but Mehtaab outright rejects him and shows him how cruel he has been to his own wife who is a beautiful woman herself. This leads to a rift in their married life and causes many problems. Jehangir witnesses the rift and as his love for Mehtaab grows the serial continues to depict how their love and attraction towards each other is tested every time. Jehangir wants to profess his own feelings and wants to give his mother a true makeover after what she had been through with Mehtaab’s help. Whether Jehangir and Mehtaab build a relationship full of love, trust, and true feelings or they fall into the dark abyss of vanity is what the rest of the episodes constitute.
