With only one season that constituted a total of 35 episodes each with a running period of 35-45 minutes, the series revolved around the concept of discrimination towards girls by society. The story shows a young couple living in a joint family. Sadiq and Naheed are happily married with three daughters. But when Sadiq's brother dies leaving Sadiq as the next head of the family his attitude towards his wife changes a great deal.

Being the head of the family he considers the fact that he doesn't have any male heirs who can uphold the family after him. He tells Naheed of his concerns and they try again for a male child. However, when the fourth daughter is born Sadiq has had enough and decides to marry another woman who can give him male heirs. Naheed is highly disappointed and hurt by this decision but Sadiq doesn't care about her opinion. He considers women as weak and considers his daughters useless. This mindset leaves him treating his daughters like trash and this creates a rift between Naheed and himself.

Sadiq goes a step further and marries Anila who happens to be the widowed wife of his elder brother. He does this all in the hope of achieving a male heir who he can treasure with his whole heart. The show focuses on society and its materialistic hierarchy which makes people chase after money for all its worth. Sadiq represents the part of society that refuses to accept girls as blessings from God and who only thinks that they are a burden for the family in the financial aspect. Sadiq represents the people who worship male children but discard female children as trash. The serial hopes to spread awareness regarding the situation and prove to the people that females can achieve success and go toe to toe with males. The series aims to spread the message of equality among the masses. What happens when the children grow up if Anila suffers the same fate as Naheed, and whether Sadiq realizes his mistake is what constitutes the rest of the episodes.
