Makaan is a Pakistani drama serial that premiered in 2006 on Geo TV. The serial presents the outcome of greed and power in a dramatic setup. The story focuses on the lives of two brothers, Nawaz and Shebaz. The brothers belong to a wealthy family, and own a cinema house. Both brothers are married and well-settled with their children and wives. Nawaz is married to a very dominant woman, while Shebaz is married to an obedient woman. Nawaz’s wife mostly interferes in all matters and makes things happen according to her wishes and choices. Shehbaz’s wife is well-mannered, understanding and caring. Nawaz’s wife is the one playing family politics and keeping everything under her control. However, after the marriage of Ghulfam, Shehbaz’s son, everything changes for the whole family.

The story escalates when Ghulfam marries Nazli, an actress and model. Nazli is a greedy and clever woman. Ghulfam falls prey to Nazli’s greedy ambitions as he loves her. Nazli and her father uses Ghulfam to ruin Nawaz’s wifes’ ego and family. Ghulfam through a fraudulent way takes Nawaz’s sign on the power of attorney and transfers all his wealth into Nazli’s name. Upon learning about this betrayal, Nawaz gets a heart attack and dies. Moving ahead, Nazli finds new ways and strategies to cause trouble to Nawaz’s egoistic and dominant wife. What will happen next?
