Shoaib Akhtar was born in Rawalpindi, Punjab, Pakistan. His father worked at Attock Refinery as a plant operator. Is test career was started at his play, on his hometown later he began his Second Test against West Indies at 1997/98 tour. After that he was included in South Africa tour during 1998 there he played on almost in all three test matches. He became famous in his career started by 1999, against India on a Pre-World Cup Series. Following that, he played an excellent performance in Sharjah and for 1999 World cup cricket. By 1999, he became outstanding by catching eight wickets of the Batsman’s of India against the Asian Test Championship Match which happened at Calcutta.
By 2002, he was played against Australia and won success. But unfortunately, his performance was not too good during the 2003 World Cup, so after that match, he was removed from the Pakistan game team. One year later, he was again made to join in the team for playing against New Zealand, but he left the field due to an injury making a suspicious on the captain Inzamam-ul-Haq and the coach. This incident leads to a break in relationship with the former captain and coach of the Pakistan team. By 2005, he again became familiar by his bowling experience. By playing against England, he regained all his reputations as an impressive bowler.
His slow bowling was not suitable for the England Batsman, and thus he proved himself. He gained the name of the man with highest wicket gainer of the series with almost seventeen wickets. He was the fastest bowler, and his fastest known speed is 159 km/h, 160km/h, 159.3km/h and 158.4km/h. His fastest was against England at a speed of 161.3km/h. He started playing successfully in his first game of Indian Premier League for Kolkata Knight Riders against Delhi Daredevils. He caught four wickets against Delhi and stopped them at 110 runs and recorded their first success.
He also received the Man of the Match award for that game. After that, due to an injury, he stopped playing for Kolkata Knight Riders. He also played on NCL T20 Bangladesh for Cyclones of Chittagong.
