The story begins with Chanda. She is a married woman who is trapped in a traditional household. Her in-laws have strict traditional values. Her in-laws hate Chanda and she has to struggle a lot with it. Her mother-in-law is oppressive and mentally tortures Chanda. Her husband, Nadeer, also mocks her for having a daughter, not a son. Thus, Nadeer grows to resent her wife and daughter so much that he does not even contribute to his house or his daughter's education. Chanda's husband beats her every time she raises her voice against the injustice. Chanda receives constant physical and mental abuse from her husband and in-laws.

Rukaiya is Chanda's sister-in-law and remains enraged with her. Rukaiya has personal grudges against Chanda. Long ago, Chanda had brought Rukaiya's affair with a man to light. This made things worse for Rukaiya's life. Her marriage with that man got canceled as Chanda humiliated him. To take revenge, Rukaiya and her current lover create misunderstandings between Chanda and Nadeer. Things get worse for Chanda. She suffers a raging abuse by her husband and Rukaiya and her mother watch. Her husband throws Chanda and his daughter out of his house. Chanda goes back to her home to stay.

The show particularly explores Chanda's solid revolt against all the hardships in her life. She has experienced mental and physical abuse a lot. But she has a determined spirit and refuses to accept social conventions. For her social norms gave her nothing but a life of submission. Her determination acts as an assurance that Chanda can bear it all. It encourages her to fight and overcome the injustices of the system. Chanda also has to face lust from her younger brother’s employer. He is a powerful, evil, and dishonest man. He is lustful for Chanda and wants to marry her.

The employer is a dangerous man and there is a risk in rejecting his advances. Despite this, Chanda does not back down. She is not willing to sacrifice her honor for anyone once again. The show highlights the value of fellowship, determination, and the pursuit of justice through Chanda's journey. Her journey highlights that if one’s spirit remains strong, one can fight against injustice. The show explores themes like family dynamics, societal pressures, and the spirit of determination of Chanda.
