The drama series aired on 5 February 1993 on Pakistan's first private channel NTM and instantly became one of the most loved drama series among the masses. The audience highly appreciated the screen chemistry between the lead couple, played by Atiqa Odho and Nauman Ejaz. The show's storyline is set among three warring tribes in rural Balochistan. The show features two boys born into this tribal warfare, Shahtaaj played by Atiqa Odho, and Balaaj, played by Noman Ejaz.
Despite being surrounded by violence all their lives, both are gentle souls with a love of music and poetry and are highly creative youngsters. Things take a romantic turn when both youngsters, coming from opposing tribes, ultimately fall in love with each other.
