Shaista Jabeen is a Pakistani television actress, who made an appearance in the drama serial, Rishtay Kachay Dhagoon Se. She is also part of Tishnagi Dil Ki, Susraal Mera, Ladoon Mein Pali, Yeh Ishq, Sada Sukhi Raho, and Woh Ishq Tha Shayed.

Sabiha Khanum (Mukhtar Begum) is a very well known Pakistani actress and singer, who graced the silver screen since the 1950s. She dominated the world of Pakistani cinema over for four decades and won critical acclaim and numerous awards in the process. She got her first public exposure through a cultural delegation, as a part of which she sang a Punjabi song Kithhay Gae Yoon Pardesia way. Her performance gained attention and praise, and she gained a stage performance.

Fazila Qazi, also known as Fazila Qaiser, is a Pakistani TV actress, anchor, producer, writer, chef and a model. She began her career as a child actress during the 80’s and earned critical acclaim for her portrayal in many television serials in 1990’s. Her acting career is spanning to over four decades now and she has become a major TV personality and a real epitome of beauty. In 1988, she established herself as a fashion model until she found success in television in the year 1991. Fazila was born in Karachi, Sindh in Pakistan and completed a degree at the Karachi University. Her name was changed to Fazila Qaiser after she got married to Qaiser Khan Nizamani, a TV actor and a household name during the 1990’s. They got married in 1994 and in the same year, they have launched their own production house called Studio and Media Services. Fazila made an entry into the glamour world at a very young age after she was offered to become a model of a boutique. She then caught the attention of Haider Imam Rizvi, a Pakistani director who introduced her on his upcoming serial. Since then, Fazila was launched in the industry. Prior to her marriage, she appeared in several dramas like Kasak and Dasht and at the same time, she has also done a number of television commercials. But when she became a mother, she took a break and just sidelined from acting. She said that both her pregnancies were unplanned. She got pregnant after her wedding and yet, she remained active and continued acting and on the last phase of his pregnancy, she was doing shows in U. S. and after the birth of her first son, she was in London for a shoot of her serial. Her first son, Ahmed, made her prepare for the coming of their second child. A few years after she returned to television, she was seen anchoring a religious show entitled Ramadan and later returned to acting in dramas. Fazila acted on Hum TV’s Larkiyan Mohallay Ki and Geo TV’s Khuda Aur Muhabbat in 2011. She also hosted a cookery show entitled Dine in with Fazila Qazi on ARY Zauq.

Azra Aftab is a well-known Pakistani actress known for Hirat(2015) as Mehwesh and Manzil aka Her Lost Destination(2006) as Khanam. Azra has done three movies and several telefilms and daily soaps and popular drama serials including Lahore Junction, Husan ara Kaun, ROGER. Azra is one of the most experienced actors in the Pakistani drama serial and had worked alongside famous personalities such as Nauman Ijaz and Jamal Shah.

Atiqa Odho is a famous and talented Pakistani Television star. This multitalented woman is a movie actor, Show presenter and also, runs a cosmetic brand. Atiqa was born in Karachi, in Pakistan. She began her role in the field of Cinema, from the year 1989. Initially, she started her career, as a makeup artist and a Hair Stylist. The popular director Anwar Maqsood spotted her during one of her makeup sessions for an advertisement. He then made her act in the television soap, Sitara Aur Mehrunnisa, in the year 1992. She played the lead role as Sitar in the series, which turned out to become a successful one. Other soaps to her credit are Nijaat, Harjaee, Humsafar and many more. This popularity she gained through television landed Atiqa in her first silver screen venture.

Munir Qureshi is a well-known writer and poet who is commonly known as Munnu Bhai. He was born on 6 February 1933 in Wazirabad, Punjab. He went to Government College, Attock, for his primary education. Munir started his career at a young age as a translator in a leading daily Urdu newspaper, during which he was associated with various leading publications in Pakistan. In the newspaper, his column “Girebaan” was viral among people because of his creative pieces that focused on a very humanistic view.

Rasheed Naz is a Pakistani Film actor well known for his work in Pushto. He was born in Peshawar, Pakistan, on 9 September 1948. He used to go to watch Natak and Manch Nukkad with his father. He has been into acting since his childhood. When he grew up he started working with local theatre group as a support artist. His talent and acting skills made him climb the ladders of success very quickly. He was offered to play a lead role in his theatre group. He worked in plays in many languages such as Hindko and Pashto. He worked in theatre for over two years, until he was offered to play a role in a Television play named ‘Pushto.’ These plays gave him a lot of fame and built a huge fan base all over Pakistan. Later, he worked in a play which was in Urdu.

Mohsin Gilani or Mohsin Gillani is a Pakistani movie and TV actor. Mohsin was born on December 19, 1958, in Pakistan. He started acting during the 80s and appeared in several Pakistani films. However, he did not earn enough success on the big screen, so he shifted to performing in drama serials and usually portray fatherly roles.

Pakistani actor Ayub Khoso made his Bollywood debut with 'Welcome 2 Karachi'. Bollywood has always given excellent opportunities to Pakistani artists such as Veena Malik,  Meera, Zeba Bakhtiar, Sony Ali and  Javed Sheik. But not many could sketch a great innings of their career. Masses fell in love with their engaging performance, and they cried and they laughed with them one of them was Ayub Khosa, who made his grand debut with Welcome 2 Karachi, thanks to his conviction and dedication to his work. 

With Pakistani TV Actor, things have happened in the reverse order – he made his debut in films and then migrated from films to TV serials, which surely goes against the normal trend. But keeping in tune with his penchant for adventure sports like scuba diving, flying and hunting, Asad is a self confessed “adventurer” and bold enough in whatever he does or comes across. Although not one to have originally thought about an acting career, nor having taken any initial formal training for it, he grabbed the opportunity, prompted by his impulsive nature, when the opportunity came his way, back in 1989. 

As mentioned, Asad Malik started his acting stint as a film actor in 1989, though none of the movies in which he featured could be referred to in any glowing terms, starting off with a horror movie entitled “Pamela”. As his film career really did not take off in any way that would have given him any encouragement, he turned his attention to drama, which still is considered the best art form in Pakistan to show case one’s acting talents. After a brief period of internship, Asad caught the eyes of discerning theater goers with his acting in the 1993 drama serial “Dasht”, shot in the backdrop of Balochistan with a woman centric theme, in the year 1993. 

That was a turning point in his career, and from then onwards Asad demonstrated his inherent talent as an actor to the theatre world at large. Side by side, with his name spreading as an actor, he took up modelling opportunities that came his way, side by side with his acting. He then went on to act in quite a few plays of that period, for the then sole TV channel - PTV. Some of these plays like the family drama “Janey Anjaney”, tale of brothers and sisters, “Aansoo” and the slightly controversial “Niqab” most of them penned by the legendary writer Haseena Moin and aired in early 2000 on PTV made Asad a front runner on Pakistani TV. 

Completing a series of fairly successful drama serials for PTV, Asad had also gone over to the private satellite channels when the opportunity came, featuring in “Dil Moti Ke Mole” for ATV, followed by two more for the same channel titled “Adhoori Film Ki Puri Kahani” and the other one called “Angoori”. “Larkiyan Mohallay Ki” followed with Hum TV as well as “Kaisi Yeh Deewangi”, also for Hum TV. His sole appearance for Geo TV at that time was “Buri Aurat”. His appearances ranged from social, romantic, family as well as slightly adult themes. With his success on the TV screen, Asad Malik had confided in several forums that he harbours no intentions to try his luck once again in films, and is quite confident about his future, describing himself as more of a self made man, rather than someone who has followed someone else’s footsteps or guidance in the growth of his career.

Abid Ali is a well-known Pakistani personality famous in his neighboring country India also. In the young age, during his schooling, he had no specified interest in television, but he had an artistic and creative mind. When he moved on to college, he gave auditions to work in Radio Pakistan and got selected by Ata Shad for his appreciable voice that was suitable for the job. He worked in Radio Pakistan while studying. After completing his college, he decided to work as a television actor and moved to Lahore and started giving auditions and got a break on television in India. Afterward, he also did great work in different Pakistani and Indian movies like Sahiba (1992), Nageena (1990) etc. Abid Ali got married to Humaira Ali and had three daughters. Later, he got separated from Humaira Ali and married Rabia Naureen in 2006.

Noman Ijaz is a Pakistani actor, who was born on 14th February 1965 in Lahore, Pakistan. His father was a manager at one movie theatre in Lahore and his father’s job influenced him a lot in getting into the acting career. His family led a simple and humble life and his father wanted to make sure that all of his three children received good education and they were sent to the best Christian Management schools in Lahore. Noman has two brothers and he is now married to Rabia and they have three children.

He began his acting career through PTV and he acted mainly in dramas. He was famous for his negative roles in the dramas and is considered as one of the most respected senior artists in the Pakistan industry. Noman struggled a lot to find his place in the industry initially and he was widely respected for his hard work and humble behaviour. He started his career with a negative role in the drama ‘Rihaee’ which made him famous both among the audience and the industry folks.

He has an Urdu movie ‘Ramchand Pakistani’ to his credit which was released in 2008. He portrayed a Pakistani Hindu, who crossed the border towards India accidently and his wife’s role was played by Nandita Das in the movie. He was honoured by Pakistan president with the ‘Pride of performance award’ in 2011. He currently hosts a TV show on PTV.
