Darwaza is a Pakistani serial that premiered in 1990 on PTV Home. It is an Urdu-language serial that focuses on the lives of people living in a small village near Karachi. Abdi is a young, obedient, and family guy who dreams of marrying his childhood crush. Abdi’s father runs a small hotel for travelers and truck drivers to eat and rest. Abdi is a gentleman and always follows the righteous path in life. Abdi slacks in working for his father’s hotel and his father scolds him for not being dedicated. Abdi lives with his parents and younger sister.

They live a happy and content life helping the needy and earning by feeding people away from home. The story escalates when a builder visits the village and decides to purchase plots from the villagers. The builder who doesn’t want to harm anyone gets a local broker to buy plots. One such plot investment led to a father getting slapped by his son for not permitting him to sell his plot. Later, the father committed suicide after being insulted by his grown-up son.
