Shabnam Siddiqui is a profound Indian academic-practitioner who has given her twenty-five years of researching. Shabnam did her postgraduate diploma from the Institute of Womens' Studies. Later she acquired her Masters degree in Arts from SNDT Womens' University, Mumbai. Roohi Bano was born on 10th August 1951 in Karachi, Pakistan. She was a renowned Pakistani actress for her roles in television dramas. She was known for her roles in television dramas such as Kiran Kahani, Zard Gulab, and Darwaza. Along with Tahira Naqvi, Khalida Riyasat, and Uzma Gillani, she dominated Pakistani television starting in the 1970s. Because of her portrayals of melancholy and pessimism in dramas and movies, she was dubbed the Queen of Melancholy. Roohi Bano was the daughter of Alla Rakha, a noted player of India and half-sister of Indian music virtuoso Ustad Zakir Hussain. She joined television while doing her master’s degree in psychology from the Government College, Lahore. She had memorable roles in several well-known TV series, including Zard Gulab, Darwaza, and Kiran Kahani (1973). In 1981, the President of Pakistan presented her with the Pride of Performance award.

Muhammad Nisar Hussain started as a textile engineer but then started his career in the entertainment industry through stage drama. In 1964, he produced his first Pakistan television play Bano Ki Diary which was written by, Bano Qudsiya. His other popular drama serials were Ek Mohabbat So Afsanay, Hairatkada, Qila Kahania, and Dramay. Nisar introduced teleplay in 1981 from Ptv Lahore Centre, the most popular was Ragon Mein Andhera in 1983. A Punjabi movie, Joora, was made in 1986, similar to it.

Asim Bukhari is a Pakistani actor, poet, and producer. He was born in Karachi. He has worked in the theatre for years, playing, among others, the role of King Shahab U Din Mohammad ShahJahan in the Ajoka Theatre’s famous play “Dara”. As a poet, he has written three Sufi poetry books named: Dohriyaan Shaklaan, Dil Chiriyan Da Aalna, and Soch Uddari. His other published poetic works are ‘Tauba da Kunda Khol’, ‘Kalaam Asim Bukhari’, ‘Teri Laur Payee Aey Maula’, and ‘Rabba Maaf Ker Khatawan’.
