Shafquat Amanat Ali Khan was born on February 26, 1965. He was a Muslim born in Lahore, Punjab. His parents are Ustad Amanat Ali Khan and Almas Amanat Ali Khan. He is from the ninth generation of Gharana Patiala. His elder brother is Asad Amanat Ali Khan. He completed his bachelor’s degree from Lahore’s Government University College. He then received his honor for music from the music society, from the government University College by Tariq Farani. He is known for his famous songs as a classical singer. He resides in the Lineage of Patiala Gharana. He had done several works among which some of the most important are Aankhon Ke Saagar, Mitwa, Khamaj and Ankhiyan. He had also sung several songs such as Phir Wohi Raastey which is known as Ramchand Pakistani.

He started his Bollywood career with the help of Shankar Mahadevan Shankar Mahadevan, a well-renowned, talented and f >> Read More... . He contacted him on hearing his song Aankhon Ke Saagar. He was listed in the stardom of the top charts for his performance in the song Mitwa for the movie Kabhi Alvida Naa which was composed by Shankar Eshaan Loy. He played the role of background singer for several critical talkies such as Dor, Mumbai Cutting and Hello. He initially worked in the band Fuzan till 2006. After that, he became a solo singer. His Album Taber, based on his folk and Sufi works, was released in the mid of September by Music Today. The album released in Pakistan as an image of Eid release. The album was then altered according to the Pakistani style by Shani Haider in his Couple of Good Studios and was released in the month of September.

All the songs were composed by Shafqat except the songs Naina which composed by Shani Haider. Tu Hi Tu Hai,the album song of Khairheyan De Naal released in both India and Pakistan Channels for the first video. He had several nicknames of which the fondly called is Rock Start Ustad by Saleem Merchat who was from Sallem Suleman Duo. He also appears in some of the episodes of Indian Idol. His second Individual album released in 2010 which was Kyun Dooriyan; it consists of only two songs namely Kaga Ja and Naal Naal, which done during his work in the band Fuzon. The song for the movie “Ra.One” made him a Nominee in the film fare awards. He also appeared on MTV for the Show Unplugged Season 2. He was nominated for several awards, and then he won the award the most wanted man from Musik for the year 2008.
