Bigg Boss Telugu is a reality show that aired on Star Maa tv. The show was produced by Endemol shine India. Telugu actor Nani hosted the second season of the show. The show started on 10 June 2018. It aired for 1.30 hours a day. On weekdays the show was aired from 9.30 to 11 pm at night. On the weekends it was aired from 9 to 10.30 at night. The final episode of the second season was aired on 30 September 2018. The show had a total of 112 episodes in its second season. It had 18 housemates in the season. In the show, these 18 housemates were packed in a house which had all the modern amenities but only a single bedroom with four bathrooms, a jail, a common room, living room, swimming pool, garden, and activity area. All the tasks took place in the activity area. The prison was used to send one or two housemates in it every week. They are chosen unanimously by the housemates based on their behavior. They had to spend one day and one night in jail, and housemates had to give them food and water.

Each week they had a task for a luxury budget and a task to choose their captain. They get nominated every week and have to leave the house. The person who got the minimum votes left the house every week. One captain was chosen every week. The captain got the luxury to order everyone as he pleases. He doesn't have to do any work and is the owner of the house. He even got special powers that he can use in the nomination rounds, and he was safe from being nominated in the same week.
