Kasthuri is a Telugu series that aired in 1999 on ETV from Monday to Friday at 1:00 pm. It was directed by Manjula Naidu.

Kasthuri and Abhiram are married. On their wedding anniversary, they both went to a temple. Meanwhile, a person closely watched Abiram and Kasthuri at the temple. Soon, Kasthuri went missing, and Abhiram searched for her. He lodged a police complaint. Kasthuri was kidnapped by some goons and locked in a dungeon. She was informed that Abhiram kidnapped her and asked them to kill her. Though she was shocked, Kasthuri managed to escape. As the kidnappers were chasing and she was unable to run, she jumped into the river. As they couldn’t find her, the police closed the case, finalizing that Kasthuri was dead. But, the person who followed Kasthuri and Abhiram found out that Kasthuri was alive. He inquired about the kidnappers and collected the kidnap details. What will be his next step? Why did Abhiram plan to kill Kasthuri? The rest of the series showcases all these.
