Neeyum Naanum is a parenting show aired on Mediacorp’s Vasantham TV. The show is to showcase the children’s mental stress and how they need care from their parents. The show brings in the psychologists, parenting experts, motivational coaches, children, parents and celebrities. The interviews with experts, parents and parenting experts are telecast along with their tips on how to parent healthily and effectively. The show also showcases the kids’ work and how their regular activities are tackled. Every Singaporean kid has to spend a minimum of 20 hours per week in school. Besides this, the kid has to engage in enrichment activities, which will last up to ten hours. While calculating the hours, we can see that the kids’ work is equivalent to an adult’s work on average. Are the kids over-scheduled? Not all the parents are living together to raise their children. It is a great challenge for those who raise them as a single parent.
