Divided is a Tamil TV show that airs on Vijay TV every Saturday and Sunday at 8 pm. The show is hosted by Neeya Naaya debate show fame Gobinath Chandran. It is adapted from the UK and American game show with the same name. It aired on TV from 21st July 2018 to 4th November 2018. Divided is a game show where three complete strangers, each from a different work field, play it together to win a huge amount of money. The game has 15 questions, which could either be multiple choice or arranging a given list of items in the required order. The significant part of the game is that all three contestants are supposed to arrive at a unanimous answer within 100 seconds. If they fail to do so, they lose all the money.
For each round, a huge sum of money is displayed on the screen and will constantly drop by 1% until an answer is given. All the money they have won will go into the prize pot. If they fail in three rounds, the game ends immediately. The real challenge starts after the questionnaire ends when they have to split the money unequally by 60% 30% and 10%. In the end, a 100-second timer is set with the money in the prize pot dropping in the same fashion. Within these 100 seconds, the three participants need to decide who gets which share. If they fail to do so, all of them leave the show with no money in hand.
