Vasool chakravarthy is the story of how a man, played by Y Gee Mahendran, recovers dues from parties. His services include evacuating tenants from buildings, collecting money given on rent etc. This is jointly produced by Amirtaraj Solomon Communications (P) Limited and C TV and directed by Y Gee Mahendran. The title song for the serial is a medley of famous songs such as “
Maya Machindra
” from Indian, “Hey Shabba”, “
Azhagiya Laila
” from
Ullathai Allitha
and “Oruvan Oruvan Mudhalali” from Muthu but appropriate lyrics. The cast includes veteran actor Major Sundarajan, ARS, Venu Chakravarthy, Yuvasree, Rajeev, Mahesh, Ramachandra Rao, Malathi, Gopu and students from the Y G P Academy.
The storyline for this serial is also from a play written by Y G Mahendran. He resorts to nefarious activities to get people to give him money. His various avatars include an innocent Brahmin man, a smart Sardarji, a convincing business man, a Hindu pandit etc. His objective is to evacuate all the tenants of “Vasant Vihar”, their family property. He collects money from all the tenants under different disguises. It is a comedy drama which starts off with Sundarajan, an extremely stingy man, trying to sell a property. He never does anything without monetary benefit for himself. However, the buyer is hesitant as the tenants will not be moving out. So Sundarajan makes a deal that if the buyer gives an advance then within 3 months the tenants will be vacated. The tenants do not want to shift as they have all been living there long. This is where, Mahendran comes in. He has started his activities with evacuating them in mind.
