A youthful, lighthearted girl named Thaenmozhi, unintentionally ascends to the position of the village leader. She later marries Arul, the son of Devraj, the former village ruler. Making Thaenmozhi his daughter-in-law was done by Devraj to further his political aspirations. Except for Deivanai, the mother of Devraj (Arul's grandmother), no one in Arul's family accepts Thaenmozhi. Because of her youth, Thaenmozhi is disliked by Arul. Thaenmozhi is well cared for and loved by Dheivanai. Thaenmozhi is forced to reside in a maid's room and is treated as a domestic servant by Arul's family. Thaenmozhi is confident that one-day Devraj's family will adore her. The show is unique in its plot and highly appreciated by the audience.
