Poongodi is a Tamil serial aired on Sun TV on 3^rd February 2025. It premiered at 11:30 am every Monday to Saturday.

Sivasami is a wealthy businessman. He is married to Ranjitham, and the couple has two sons and a daughter. Sivasami is a chauvinist, and he prefers his sons over his daughter, Poongodi. He does not even respect his wife and daughter, and he degrades them whenever he gets a chance. He planned to stop her studies with 10^th standard. Clever Poongodi cheated him, saying that she failed in 10^th and hence she had to write the exams again by getting her tuition in a tutorial college. But she joined her school and completed her schooling with her mother’s help. Yet, she wishes to complete a degree. Ranjitham’s brother is very much affectionate to his sister and her daughter, Poongodi. He cares for them and supports them. He has a son, Akilan.

Saravanan is the stepson of Maheshwari. Maheshwari controls Saravanan with her fake affection. Maheshwari has a son and a daughter. Saravanan’s father self-pities himself as he is unable to safeguard his son from his wife’s fake affection and her plan to spoil his life. He awaits a miracle to happen in Saravanan’s life to understand his stepmother’s evil character. Poongodi enters Saravanan’s life. Will she make him understand the reality? The rest of the series deals with the lives of Poongodi and Saravanan.
