Nakshtara and Shweta were exchanged by Dr Tulsi 23 years back in a hospital when they were born. Nakshatra is a dusky-skinned girl who grew up in a humble family. As she is dark-skinned, her father and grandmother don’t accept her. Though her mother firmly says that she is their daughter, he is in no mood to hear her. 23 years went like this, and Nakshatra didn’t get her father’s love.   

Bhupathi, the son of Shakuntala Devi, a business magnate, stays at Nakshatra’s house as a paying guest. He didn’t disclose his identity as the owner of MPR Foods. Meanwhile, Nakshatra has had a dream since childhood, which she is not able to make true due to her dusky skin. She wished to become an RJ. Finally, she got an opportunity to lend her voice to Shweta, who anchors the show. Bhupathi falls in love with Shweta for her sweet voice. Will he find out the truth? Will Nakshatra and Shweta find their real parents and accept them? The rest of the story deals with this.
