Kalyanam Conditions Apply Season 1 is a romantic-comedy series produced by A. Mirchi Play Original, and A. TRM Sri Barati, Associate. The series premiered on online streaming platforms like YouTube and Naver TV cast every Thursday starting from 30th November; 2017. Season 1 had six episodes. In the first episode, What’s Cooking, Senthil enters his home from the office. His wife, Sreeja is making the preparations for the dinner. Sreeja asks Senthil that why he didn’t eat his lunch. So he says that he has gone out with his friends for lunch. Sreeja asks him as to why didn’t he tell her earlier. At dinner, Sreeja makes Pulao for him. But he says that she should have prepared coconut chutney with it. His mother cooks better than her. Sreeja scolds him every time he compares her cooking with her mother. She scolds her for not appreciating her efforts. She goes into her room angrily.

The following day, when Senthil wakes up, he sees a paper stuck on his head. In it, it’s written that from now on, Sreeja will not cook anything. He has a funny argument with Sreeja. He says that he will not be dependent on her. He will cook for himself and her also. He challenges Sreeja. When he goes to the kitchen, he doesn’t know what things are kept where. He decides to see YouTube videos and prepares Sambhar rice. He struggles to find the ingredients because Sreeja has written everything in Malayalam and Senthil is from Tamil Nadu. How will he manage to cook? All this forms the plot.
