, Ashok and OAK Sundar. Dhayam serial features the life story of a poor village girl, played by Sudha Chandran. Even after leading a measly childhood, fate didn’t show pity on her in her youth. She was thrown with many hardships in life, a majority part of which she had to overcome on her own. The serial was inspired by the Kurukshetra and the life of Gandhari. The Mahabharat analogy was modified to meet the expectations and realities of today’s generation. Owing to its female-oriented narrative, the serial had a huge female fan-base.
