Then, the nominees are again shortlisted. A very stringent selection process is followed by the channel. The consensus jury and the public voting are carried out to select the person who deserves the award. Public voting is carried on through their Puthiya Thalaimurai magazine, smart paper PT Indru, and their news channel.
The categories of this event are knowledge, efficiency, kindness, leadership and overall excellence. The awards are given by inviting special and prominent people of the society. Puthiya Thalaimurai Sakthi awards-2016 was telecasted on 12th March 2016.
