Filmfare awards are the things that are done to appreciate the talent and hard work done by actors, directors, producers, musicians, and other talented people involved in filmmaking. In the Tamil language the best film was won by Anniyan, the best director was won by Shankar, and the best actor was won by Vikram for the same film. Best actress was won by Asin for Ghajini. The best supporting actor was won by Rajkiran and the best-supporting actress was won by Saeanya Ponvannan for the film Thavamai Thavamairundhu. In the show, film actors and film actresses from different languages did some dance and singing performances.
