Kon Honar Crorepati translates to “Who will become a millionaire?”. It is also known as Kon Hoeel Marathi Crorepati. It is a Marathi adaptation of the famous show in Hindi called “Kaun Banega Crorepati”. The show was originally aired on ETV Marathi for three consecutive seasons. This is a quiz format based game show with 15 multiple choice questions with four options. From the 3rd season onwards, a clock system was introduced in the show pattern. For the first five questions, each contestant had 45 seconds to answer. For the following five questions, each contestant had 60 seconds to answer. For the last five questions, there was no time limit. Before playing the actual game, the player is chosen based on the results of the fastest finger first. The player is provided with three lifelines. The 50-50 lifeline removes the two wrong options for the player. The phone-a-friend lifeline will allow the contestant to take the help from a close friend. In the Audience poll, the audience answers the question to help the player based on the percentage correct response. “Ask the Expert” Lifeline was also introduced in the 4th season. The contestant could ask their question to an expert in that arena of knowledge. “Chat room” and “Double Dip” lifelines were also introduced in season three. Phone-a-friend lifeline was converted into a video-call for a friend, in this season. Each contestant had 45 seconds on video call, to explain the question and ask for the correct answer.

It showcased and appreciated people who did some social work for the well-being of society and the people. This show increases the importance of knowledge and wisdom. It gives the opportunity to common people to change their fate with the help of their knowledge. There were questions about every field, including General knowledge, current affairs, politics, entertainment, and many more. This is a show that can change their lives forever. This season was launched on 12th July 2021. It completed 60 episodes and was wrapped up on 18th September 2021. A total of 83 contestants participated in this season. Twelve other contestants won the amount worth 1250000 rupees. 17 contestants won the amount worth 640000 rupees. Fifteen contestants won the amount worth 320,000 rupees. A total of ₹ 51340000 was distributed in this season. Some prominent personalities also played the game for cause-based winning. Nana Patekar won a hefty amount of 25 lakhs. They will all be donating this amount for a social cause.

Before this season, all questions were only shown in the local Marathi language. From this season onwards, all questions and options were duplicated in English. Anyone can register for this show by giving a missed call to the provided number. The registrations were open from 23rd February to 8th March. Contestants could also register through the Sony LIV app.
