The series mainly concentrates on the story of an optimistic girl, Sayali, raised in an orphanage. She meets her biological father, Raviraj, but they are unaware of each other’s identities. Sayali grew up in an orphanage and had a sweet, kind disposition.

There comes another character named Arjun, who is the other lead role in this series. Arjun, humble despite his wealth, is a leading criminal lawyer. Sayali is looking for a lawyer to argue in a case related to Madhubhau, who was falsely accused and arrested for Vilas' murder, which was done by two women named Sakshi and Priya. Arjun decided to take the case of Sayali, and the series goes on with the story of Arjun, and Sayali along with other characters and the late romance develops between them.

The story revolves around Arjun, who had a traumatic past, including his friend's death and betrayal by a woman named Sakshi. This left him disillusioned with relationships. His family tries to arrange his engagement to Priya, who is pretending to be someone else named Anu. However, Arjun does not want to marry Priya or anyone. So Arjun makes a deal with another woman named Sayali that he will represent her in a legal case if she agrees to a one-year contractual marriage with him. Sayali agrees, and they get married at the temple on the same day as Arjun's scheduled engagement. Arjun then surprises his family by announcing his marriage to Sayali instead, stopping the engagement plans. Sayali comes to live with Arjun's family while pretending to be his wife happily. Over time, though, Arjun sees Sayali's good qualities and genuinely falls in love with her. The family also likes Sayali as she reminds them of the late matriarch Pratima. However, Sayali soon gets stabbed by some villains. Arjun rushes her to the hospital, where Pratima secretly donates blood to save Sayali. Later, Arjun's aunt Asmita and Sayali manipulate medical reports to show Sayali is pregnant, though she is not falsely. This creates further drama and complications.
