The plot follows the life of two families Dalvi and Deshpande. Vikrant lives in a joint family. Parvati is his grandmother and she is a strict woman. She is the backbone of the family. Vikrant is a gynecologist who has effectively taken his grandfather’s profession. He is a very practical, sensible, and ethical man. Despite family consists of grandfather and grandmother. Two granddaughters Monica and Mansi, are raised by their grandparents after the demise of their parents. They are pleased about the marriage of Vikrant and Monica. Vikrant loves Monica. Monica marries Vikrant to get rid of her past life. On the marriage day, Vikrant and Manasi come to know about Monica’s pregnancy. They confront her, but she denies it. Vikrant and Manasi keep mum for the sake of their families.

After marriage, Monica says that it was her mistake. Soon Manasi joins Vikrant hospital as a Pediatrician. They become friends. Monica gets jealous of her sister. She tries to put accusations on them. When Vikrant gets to know about it, he files for a divorce. Monica claims that the unborn child is his. Vikrant confronts her about her pregnancy before marriage. Dalvi's family decides to get Vikrant divorced. The court proceedings start where Monica gets collapsed and give birth to a girl child named Isha. Manasi takes Isha with her out of Mumbai to avoid any further complications in the family. After she returns, Monica gets insecure. Vikrant and Manasi profess their love, but for Isha, they decide not to get married.
