Usha Nadkarni is an Indian actress who is best known for her role in the popular television series called ‘’ (2009), in she essayed the role of ‘Savita Damodar Deshmukh’. The show was aired on Zee TV between 2009 to 2014 and it successfully completed 1339 episodes. Usha has a long list of film and television appearances which she made during her 36 year long career. She made appearances in many mainstream Hindi movies such as ‘’ (1995), ‘Vaastav’ (1999), ‘’ (2004), ‘Ye Tera Ghar Ye Mera Ghar’ (2001). She has also acted in a few Marathi movies such as ‘Sinhasan’ (1979), ‘Maherchi Sadi’ (1991), ‘Agadbam’ (2010), ‘Deool’ (2011) & ‘Yellow’ (2014). She has worked with some of the most talented actors and directors of contemporary cinema. She has a long list of television appearances as well. Besides ‘Pavitra Rishta’ she was seen in the serials such as ‘’ (2006), ‘’ (2006) & ‘Madhubala- Ek Ishq Ek Junoon’ (2012). Most recently, she is busy portraying ‘Kamini Fauzdar’ in the popular comic series called ‘Mrs. Pammi Pyarelal’ (2013). She is a versatile actress which a great acting prowess. She has been among a few talented artists who have been successful in keeping a nice balance among their roles varying in nature and scope. She has been awarded many times recently for her popular portrayal of ‘Savita Deshmukh’ who is the mother of the male protagonist of the seriesl. Although she belongs to Karnataka but her various adaptations as a Maharashtriyan lady has earned her a lot of fan following in the Marathi cinema. She lives in Mumbai with her family.
