Shesham is a Malayalam fictionalized-investigation series, inspired by real-life incidents. Fictional crime shows have always enticed a considerable amount of viewing on all screens. This show has several episodes which feature some spine-chilling crime tales from across the state of Kerala that made headlines. Each episode focuses on a crime story with its own plot, characters, and ending. This show is aired on Flowers TV. It also features some unsolved crime stories as well.
This series is conceptualized by C. Unnikrishnan, who is also an executive producer with the channel. He is the director of this show. Earlier, he worked as a journalist. He mentions that the main reason behind making this show was to bring in larger understanding not just the chronology of events that leads to a crime and the aftermath but also to throw light on the lives of people that are affected by it. Each episode is eye-catching and will definitely keep the audience hooked to their seats till the end. Another reason for coming up with this show is to create awareness among people regarding crimes and to further help in its prevention.
The main character (protagonist), as well as the narrator of this show, is a police officer. This role is played by V.K. Baiju, who is very well recognized for his roles in various films and has also bagged several awards to his credit. With his bold and masculine mannerisms, he is the perfect match for this role. In every episode, he speaks to the victims and witnesses of various crimes. He also visits the original places of those crimes. Throughout each episode, he embarks on a journey critically explaining the timeline of events, talking to people affected, visiting the places of crime, investigating and towards the end unfolding the mystery of each crime. This show packs moments of terror and disbelief. Every episode starts as a puzzle creating the want to seek answers and ends with a clear picture solving the various questions of viewers.
