Gokulam is a special talk show in Malayalam that airs on Janam TV. As the chat continues, the host questions him about the importance of cows in Hindu mythology and what was the origin behind treating cows as a sacred figure. Shankar Lal tells about how useful cows are to humans, from providing milk to being helpful at the farm.
He explains how a major portion of our economy is based on the breeding of cows and milk products. He also talks about how the Government is coming forward to protect cows and honor their age-old relation with humans. Shankar Lal also mentions about the significance of “Gau Mutra,” also known as cow urine, and how beneficial it is. He lists out its medicinal properties and how it can be used to treat many major diseases. Shankar Lal also sheds light on the prohibition of cow slaughter and banning the consumption of cow meat. He mentions that the consumption of cow meat in India was adopted from the western countries and we should go back to our origin of not consuming it.
