Parasite is a South Korean film directed by Bong Joon Ho. Han Jin Won penned the screenplay along with Bong Joon Ho. The film is produced by Kwak Sin-ae, Moon Yang-Kwon, Bong Joon Ho and Jang Young-hwan. The movie has the star cast of Song Kang-ho, Lee Sun-kyun, Cho Yeo-jeong, Choi Woo-shik, Park So-dam, Lee Jung-eun and Jang Hye-jin. The music composition is by Jung Jae-il. The cinematography is by Hong Kyung-pyo and the editing is by Yang Jin-mo.
Plot
Kim’s family is poor living in a basement apartment. They don’t have a permanent job and do some jobs that come their way. Meanwhile, the Park family is a rich family and they live in a bungalow. Park’s maid secretly keeps her husband in a bunker in Park’s house, as he had a huge debt and the people, who lent him are searching for him. One of the people in Kim’s family gets a job in Park’s house. They come to know about the maid’s husband, who lives in the bunker. They plan perfectly and chase them out and started living in the bunker. Slowly, they occupy important jobs in Park’s house. In the flow, Kim kills Park and secretly lives in the bunker. A few years later, Kim’s son comes to a good position. What happens next? Did Kim come out of the bunker? The rest of the story has some interesting events with twists and turns.

All the stars fit in the role well and performed naturally.
Analysis
The film showcases the societal ups and downs. Who is the real parasite? The director left it to the viewers to guess the real parasite. The rich are dependent on the poor and vice versa. Most of the economically backward people won’t spoil the lives of the people, who are finding it hard to run a life, like them. But, Kim’s family is different from them and they utilize every opportunity to pull others’ legs. Park’s family didn’t do anything wrong, but they don’t care about others and live their life happily. The basic concept of the film is that everyone is selfish. The cinematography, music and production values are good. The screenplay is interesting with lots of unexpected twists and turns.
