Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L’il champs is an Indian Hindi language musical reality television show. The show is a spinoff of a very popular Hindi musical reality show called Sa Re Ga Ma Pa. The concept of both the shows is more or less the same. Few participants are selected through auditions and are then made to compete against each other in various rounds of singing. The winner of the show is decided by the voice and versatility of the participant. The participant is also groomed and trained by famous singers who also help them in their performances. The show has an elimination criterion through which various participants whose score is less are eliminated from the show and the participant who survives and scores the highest wins the show. The only major difference is that Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L’il Champs, as the title itself suggests, is a show exclusively for kids. This means that only children of a certain age group with good singing ability can get into the show.

The first season of the show debuted on the television in 2006 and was hosted by the very popular playback singer called Shaan. They all are great singers in the Hindi music industry and has sung more than thousands of songs in films. The show ran on the popular Hindi language channel, Zee TV. The first season of the show broke the record in terms of ratings and soon became one of the most-watched shows on Indian television. This huge success of the show prompted producers to renew the show for another season. The second season was all the more successful and therefore the show ended up with a total of eight seasons of which almost all of them were massively popular. Today the show enjoys a large fan following.
