One episode of the show is 45 to 50 minutes long. It was one of the most-watched cookery shows on Indian television. It was a weekend show that aired twice a week in the evening.

At first, the show selected 30 contestants to take part in the show. Each contestant had to cook a dish and had to present it in the most elegant way possible. Judges of the show chose one contestant out of three to go forward in the show. By doing that, ten contestants were chosen to participate in the show. Most of these contestants were from India, but some of them were from Dubai and San Francisco. After these ten contestants, they also chose six other contestants to take part in the show. Each of them was made to judge them on various cooking methods. In one of these rounds, they had to invent their dish and make it innovatively. In another round, they had to cheat the viewers by making something different in the shape of different dishes, like making a salty dish that looks like ice cream.
