She is a down to earth and an open-minded girl and realizes the importance of equality in relationships.

She was estranged by her parents Naman and Karishma and therefore, Maheshwari family has embraced her. But Kuhu forms this misconception in her head that Mishti is the one who has taken away everything from her and therefore doesn’t behave well with her. Mishti and Kuhu meet Abir, Kunal, and Ketki. Kuhu falls for Kunal at first sight and wishes to get married to him. It becomes the happiest moment of Kuhu when Meenakshi sends a marriage proposal for getting Kuhu and Kunal marry each other.

But due to some misunderstandings, Meenakshi picks Mishti and rejects Kuhu. This incidence triggers the feelings of Kuhu that Mishti grabs away her every happiness. Her bitter feelings towards Mishti increases even more after this incident. Independent Mishti wishes to know Kunal better and check their compatibility. She therefore, wants to spend some time with Kunal before getting married.

This thought of Mishti annoys Meenakshi. Listening to this, she changes her mind and no longer wants Kunal to marry Mishti. To break this relationship, she suggests Mishti help Abir in his NGO related work. She does this to create misunderstandings between Mishti and Kunal. As they work together, Abir starts feeling a sense of affection towards Mishti and finally realizes that he has fallen in love with her. Meanwhile, because of the apathetic behavior of Kunal towards Mishti, she breaks off the wedding. She and Abir realize the affection that Kuhu has for Kunal, and they together plan to unite the two souls.
