Kuhu and Hansini, the village girls, get married to Judge Dev Chandel’s sons. Rajeev Chandel is Kuhu’s husband, and Sanjiv Chandel is Hansini’s husband. Kuhu has dark skin, and Hansini is fair. The Chandel family has a curse that the women who enter the house as daughters-in-law will die. Kuhu saves the granddaughter of the woman who cursed Chandel’s family, but the curse doesn’t work when Kuhu is in. Rajeev, who lost his eyesight, started loving Kuhu for her loving nature. Sanjiv wants Rajeev and Kuhu to have their family’s first child and avoids Hansini. This irks Hansini and makes her angry at her husband. Soon, Rajeev gets his vision back after Kuhu’s effort. He sees Hansini first and thinks that she is Kuhu. After seeing Kuhu and knowing she is his wife, Rajeev denies accepting her. Hansini uses the situation and plans to divorce Sanjiv and marry Rajeev. What happens next? Will Kuhu’s life be spared? The rest of the series deals with this.
