The relationship of Sabiha, portrayed by Samiya and Uzaifa, portrayed by Fahad Mustafa form the basis of the show.

Uzaifa is her first son with her first husband, Faisal. Unfortunately, Faisal dies leaving Uzaifa and Sabiha alone. The difficult circumstances lead to Sabiha’s family asking her to remarry. She remarries to Sohail, who himself has two sons. Sohail is reluctant to accept Uzaifa initially, but later raises him as his son. The show follows Sabiha as she takes on different roles in her life as a mother and a wife. Sabiha is a strong character that resonates with a lot of mothers in real life. Her life hasn’t been easy, and she had to suffer a lot of hardships and had to make a lot of sacrifices.

Her only wish is to earn her son’s love and affection. She yearns to be the perfect mother and a wife. Uzaifa, her son, has a bitter-sweet relationship with his mother. He loves and hates her at the same time. The character is flawed which provides a different narrative to the relationship between him and his mother. Their bond goes under changes as Uzaifa grows up. It finally takes a drastic turn when Uzaifa marries Sani, portrayed by Aiza Khan.

The show focuses on Sabiha’s struggle to fulfil her various roles – a perfect wife to Sohail, a loving mother to Uzaifa and a mother-in-law to Sani. She has to go through tough times to earn their respect and love. The show has a strong story and characters. The script written by Maha Malik has some excellent dialogues. Samiya Mumtaz is a talented actress and justifies her casting as a mother. With such a good script and strong acting, the show has emotionally charged scenes which may lead to you shedding a few tears.
