Karthik is the elder son of the family, who is under the influence of his stepmother. None in their joint family is unaware that she controls him for her welfare. Karthik’s father arranges his marriage to Vaishnavi, a humble girl, who considers her the Goddess as her mother. On the day of their betrothal, something unexpected happens. Karthik is taken in, and his stepbrother beats him as per his mother’s wish. She enjoys Karthik’s pain as a psycho but hides everything and acts as a good stepmother before everyone. Vaishnavi initially finds it hard to understand Karthik’s unruly behaviour. Gradually, she understood him and tried to patch up with him. Though Karthik’s grandmother supports Vaishnavi and believes that she could make her grandson’s life a better one, Karthik’s stepmother plans to separate Karthik from Vaishnavi.
