The show differs from India’s Most Wanted only in that it showcases only crimes that are specifically done against women, while India’s Most Wanted deals with all types of crimes. The serial is divided into two segments. The first segment shows a true unsolved case, and a different case is shown in each episode. A group of experts (policemen, forensic experts, lawyers) is then invited to give its thoughts on the case, and viewers are asked to contact the show if they have any important information pertaining to the case. If possible, the show also presents a computer-generated image of suspects.
In the second part of the show, various socio-economic issues facing women and children are talked about and possible solutions to these problems are also given. The show also gives the viewers information on NGOs and counseling services that can help solve the aforementioned problems.
The serial was praised at its approach to tackling crime against women. It was also praised for its help in trying to solve social problems in remote areas of the country.
