Dadasaheb Phalke, also called the "Father of Indian Cinema," made the first Indian feature film- Raja Harishchandra, in 1913. To honor his legacy, the Indian government introduced the Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 1969 to give recognition to the genius Dadasaheb Phalke. The 2021 Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival Awards took place in Mumbai and was aired on the popular OTT platform ZEE5.
