Big Star Entertainment Awards gets presented by the Reliance Broadcast Network Limited associated with Star India to honor the talent of India from the personalities in the field of Entertainment, sports, theatre, dance, and television. The awards are entirely audience based as from nominations to the final winners gets decided by the audience through SMS and online voting. There are 21 categories in the year 2010 Big Star Entertainment Award, which are divided as 8 for the mainstream Hindi films, 4 for Hindi television program and 9 for the best shows and personalities. On 12 December 2010, the first- ever award is announced which was published online on various websites.
