Gurucharan Singh is an actor who decided to become an actor at a very young age. He belongs to Sikh family. When Gurucharan Singh moved to Bangalore for education, there he decided to take the course in acting. After enrolling in the course, one thing leads to another and in no time he was visiting studios and seeing a shooting of movies.

After finishing his studies, he went back to Delhi and started modeling and helped his father in his business. All the time, he was thinking about acting and one day he left for Mumbai to find some work. In the beginning, he struggled a lot and in July 2009 he was offered a role in “ Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah” as Roshan Singh Sodhi.

He is a person of strong believe about his Sikh heritage. Besides acting, Gurucharan also conduct workshops where he helps people in by giving them training to be successful and happy.

He also took many training sessions like he is a Certified NLP practitioner, Power coach, Tuff track, emotional freedom techniques and also many more spiritual rituals. He is very contended with the response he received from his fan. It has been heard that Gurucharan is leaving the show to act in a Bollywood movie, but nothing has been confirmed to date.

Gurucharan Singh who is popular as Sodhi is a household name today. He made his appearance in Neela Telefilms number one program on SAB TV, namely Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. The actor played the role of Sodhi. The actor left the show on February 2013 itself as it was considered that there was some difference in opinion between him and the producer of the serial.

Surprisingly, when the episode had completed its 200 numbers, Gurcharan Singh, who played Roshan Singh Sodhi, had contemplated the idea of moving out of the show. But later on, again in March 2014, the actor made his comeback in the same role and confirmed that he had replaced another actor Laad Singh Maan, who was roped in Gurucharan’s place when he made the exit from the show in 2013. He returned back to the show on audience demand.

It may be noted that the serial is number one comedy show and had a many year-run without any break. It was rumored then that Gurucharan Singh was getting offers from movies, and it was the only reason he left the show hurriedly. But when Gurucharan himself was asked about such development, he rubbished such rumors saying that talks are on the way, but nothing had been finalized then. Nobody still knows if he appeared in any movie still or not.

Gurucharan was a Punjabi lad and had spontaneity in donning the role perfectly for SAB TV's show. The actor had a dream to become actor always. He dreamt about this idea whenever he used to see movies in his younger days. So he joined correspondence courses in acting in Bengaluru to try out acting as his profession. When his friends used to ask him if he was serious enough to take up an acting career in future, the actor then had always felt shy in narrating the inner truths of his mind.

He used to watch shootings happening in and around the studios in Bengaluru and enjoyed those moments always. Later, he came back to Delhi and tried to help his father in his business. In between, he also endorsed himself for some advertisement campaigns that appeared in prints and billboards. Thus, his modeling career was watched by television series producer, and he grabbed a role in Taarak Mehta serial being aired still on SAB TV.

Girish Jain is an Indian television actor and director who popularly appeared as Dr. Jaswant Rai Singhania, the husband of Abha (played by Silky Khanna) who had an extra marital affair to other woman in the daily soap, Hitler Didi on Zee TV. He also earned fame after bagging a negative role in the popular drama series, Zindgi Ka Har Rang… Gulaal on Star Plus.He was born in Bangalore, Karnataka and raised up in Mumbai, Maharashtra. He studied Bachelor of Commerce during college and he speaks English, Urdu, Marathi, Hindi, Rajastani and Gujarati.
