The Voice UK is a television show in the UK created by John de Mol. Its first season aired on BBC on 24 March 2012. The participants have to go through five different stages to win this talent hunt show. These five stages are- Producers' Auditions, Blind Auditions, Battle Phase, Knockouts, and the Live Show. After the producer's audition, the aspirants have to go through the blind audition stage where they perform in front of four coaches (or say judges) who have their backs turned to them.
If any of the coaches like the voice of the performer, they turn around. If two or more coaches turn around, then it is on the contestant to decide with which coach he/she wants to work. After all four coaches have a team of selected contestants, the Battle Phase begins, in which two contestants perform together. Then after this stage, Knockouts start, where contestants with low votes get knocked out of the show. In the end, five contestants are left, who go through the ‘live show' stage.
And then, the most deserving contestant with the highest votes and ratings is chosen as the Winner of the show. The winner of the show receives £100,000 along with a record deal with Republic Records. Presently, The Voice, UK has completed seven seasons, and the eighth one is expected to air in January 2019.
