Supernatural is an American fantasy horror television series. The third season of this series is written by Eric Kripke. It was first screened on October 4, 2007 and ended on May 15, 2008. It totally has 16 episodes which was telecasted in The CW.

Sam and Dean Winchester, the protagonists, travelling through America utilizes their father’s journal to assist them in carrying their family business of saving people and hunting supernatural creatures. This season was started, showing the brothers tracking the demons released from hell in the previous season finale.

Ruby, a demon, was the ally of the brothers who claims to know the way to release Dean from his demonic pact and wanted to protect them from the new demon leader Lilith. Dean had sold his soul to a demon in exchange for living a year for Sam’s resurrection. Their efforts are further blocked by Bela Talbot, a seasoned thief of occult items who occasionally has friction with the Winchesters, as Dean’s deadline comes near

The season was aired on Thursday at 9:00 PM ET. It was telecast on The CW television network. The third season got reviews mixed from critics and fans. The introduction of Ruby and Bela got negative responses from the audience. Kripke mixed the style of the first season’s simple, pure and emotional mythology with the intensity of the second season.

The ratings were low for the third season of Supernaturals, but was good with viewers aged 18-45. The sound editors got nominated in the Emmy Award in the category of Outstanding Sound Editing For A Series. Ghostfacers got a GLAAD media Award nomination for Outstanding Individual Episode.The third season mainly depicts the war against humanity through small groups of demons working independently. Some scenes were shot on location instead of studio. Bobby’s hospital sequences in “Dream a Little Dream of Me” were shot at Eagle Ridge Hospital in Port Moody.
