Jamaishosthi Jomjomat is a special program aired on Star Jalsha at the Jamai Shosthi festival. All sons-in-law from the Star Jalsha’s shows come together to celebrate the grand Jamai Shosthi. The daughters-in-law and Mothers-in-law also join them to celebrate Bouma Shosthi and treat them with gifts and surprises. Jamai Sasthi is a festival dedicated to the son-in-law of the family. This festival is mainly celebrated in Bengal. Jamai in Bengali means son-in-law, and Sasthi refers to the sixth day of the month.
As a result, the celebration is held in June on the sixth day of the Sasthi month. People all over West Bengal engage in festivities over rituals and prepare delicious Bengali dishes.
