In 2013, she was cast in the teen sitcom, The Buddy Project on Channel V India, where she bags the role of Kamna. In the same year, she joined the Team India and ended as a runner-up in the reality show, Madventures; a Pakistani version of Fear Factor which was aired on ARY Digital. In 2014, she replaces Nisha Nagpal in essaying the role of Simran Kaur in the soap, Ek Veer Ki Ardaas… Veera on Star Plus channel. Recently, she has done an episodic on the Lost Boy Productions and Balaji Telefilms’ MTV Webbed 2 opposite Mahesh Shetty and another episodic in the romantic comedy series, Love By Chance opposite Aanshul Trivedi on Bindass. She also played as Samaira on Shashi Sumeet Productions’ television series, Ek Rishta Aisa Bhi on Sony Pal.
In 2013, she was offered to do the role of Rukaiya Begum in the television series, Jodha Akbar by the Balaji Telefilms. But the actress turned the offer down since she cannot accept anything that would opt her out of Mumbai. The series was mostly shot in Karjat so she can’t accept it; the reason why is that, she just opened a dance academy in Mumbai called Dancamaze along with a friend. Priyamvada has a deep passion for dancing and she was a trained Odissi and Jazz Belly dancer.
The actress also made a guest appearance in the box-office Bollywood romantic action film, Heropanti by Sabbir Khan. She played as a Punjabi girl who assists and gives shelter to some people of the gang.

Archana was married to Indian actor Ashish Sharma on January 30, 2013. The two met while Ashish shoots for Chandragupta Maurya and Archana was in the casts of Mahima Shanidev Ki on the same studio.

Not many people are aware that Alka is the sister of Delhi actor, Varun Bhdola and radio jockey, Kalindi. Her mother is Susheela and her father, Vishwa Mohan Badola is a popular small screen Hindi actor who was last seen in the comedy film, Lage Raho Munnabhai. Alka is also part of the BAG Films Association which is the producers of Kumkum and Tum Pukar Lo was their first soap opera. Alka is a bit careful on doing films because she is more comfortable in serials. She said, in television, it is easier to define where the character is heading, unlike in films where you don’t know what happens to the character at the end of the story.
