Shri Krishna Chaitanya Mahaprabhu was a very popular social and religious reformer known to help people by educating them via his teachings and lifestyle. “Mahaprabhu Sree Chaitanya” on Colors Bangla is a serial that revolves around the life and childhood of a young Chaitanya who grew and became the man he is known today. Ishaan Sadhukhan has been cast to play the lead role of Mahaprabhu Sree Chaitanya. The serial focuses on the childhood of Mahaprabhu Chaitanya and constitutes a significant part of it. There is some realistic approach towards the portrayal, but the aim is to set a more significant aspect than of life itself.
Some fictional characters are introduced in the story, like Udas and Bindu. They are later shown as a couple with the help of Chaitanya and how he makes their relationship to be accepted by the people because Bindu belongs to the backward classes while Udas is a Brahmin. This whole ordeal focuses on the social condition of the era. The main antagonist is Kala, who is more inclined to the evil ways and hostile power, which leads to a war between good and evil. Regardless, the serial is lyric/music-based and includes several kirtan tunes and verses.
