Ashtami is a Bengali series that started airing on Zee Bangla on 8^th April 2024. The series was aired every Sunday to Monday at 6:30 pm.The series is about a girl fighting against a fraudulent Godman.

Ashtami is the daughter of a hospital staff in Kolkata. She is passionate about teaching and takes up a job at a school in Nabogram. When she visits the place, she feels that she has already visited the place. However, that was the first time she had visited. In Nabogram, Bourani is the deity who has been worshipped for hundreds of years. The people in Nabogram believe that on an auspicious day, Bourani possesses a devotee and answers the prayers. She also warns if there is any danger upcoming. Usually, it was the head priest who was possessed by the Goddess. But, after his disappearance 20 years ago, the Zamindar, Purushottam, becomes the chosen one. Ashtami encounters Zamindar and firmly believes he is not the chosen one. In a turn of events, Ashtami marries Purushottam’s son, Ayushman. As planned by Purushottam, Bourani’s statue falls on Ashtami, causing her vision loss. With the voice of a divine spirit guiding her, Ashtami tries to expose Purushottam’s real face. Will Ayushman support her? The rest of the series focuses on Ashtami’s hardships.
