The 26-episode romantic drama revolves around best friends Sajid and Somia, who are in university together. Sajid is in unrequited love with Somia, who is in love with Mehroze. The lovers get married in secret, but Mehroze dies and Somia is left pregnant. She gives birth to a baby girl.

Her parents summon her home, and she leaves her child with Sajid until she returns. But back home, her parents force her into marriage. Somia leaves Sajid with the baby and, upon learning about Somia’s second marriage, he adopts the child. Years later, mother and daughter face each other, but Somia is sent spiralling into depression and dies. Sajid follows suit. The story is an epic love story. Though it seems unrealistic, the child had been his will to live. The series had been well-loved by the audience.
