Madhumasam is a Telugu serial broadcast on the Gemini TV channel. This serial has 174 episodes and was released on 2 September 2019. The story consists of the family of Annapoorna Devi. Annapoorna Devi has four kids. Her eldest daughter is Shravya, but she is her step-daughter. Annapoorna has three kids of her own, Nithya, Satya, and Kireeti. The eldest two are Annapoorna’s daughters, and Kireeti is her son. Shravya lives separately and works as a Radio Jockey and the name of her show is Madhumasam. Shravya is a singer too. Shravya hates Annapoorna. Shravya’s biological mother has died. But Annapoorna loves her step-daughter. She has arranged for Subbulakshmi as the caretaker of Shravya. She calls her daily to ask how she is doing, if she eats at right time etc. Annapoorna tries her level best to build a relationship with Shravya as she promised her biological mom that she would take care of her daughter. Annapoorna’s kids hate it when their mother tries to care for Shravya as she always insults her. Shravya has been away from her mother and lives with Subbulakshmi. Shravya’s father runs the Alchemy group of industries, where Nandha Gopal is the co-founder and his business partner. Nandha Gopal calls him uncle. Shravya had banged her car with Nandha Gopal’s car and scolded him for driving recklessly. Shravya does not know about this promise Annapoorna made with her mother.

Nithya is very angry at her mother for going on the stage when the judges called for Shravya’s mom and getting insulted by her. Annapoorna, Nandha Gopal all listen to Shravya’s channel. Nandha Gopal is a big fan of this show. He recognizes her as the girl with whom he had an accident. Shravya has no relationship with her sibling. On Shravya’s wedding day, she comes to know about the promise Annapoorna made to her biological mother. She regrets behaving so badly with her parents. She calls her dad and says that she wants to talk to Annapoorna to apologize to her. But Annapoorna is driving a car when she gets the call from her husband. Both of them have an accident. Shravya is waiting for her parents to come to her wedding, but the priest is getting impatient. Shravya comes to know that her parents are badly injured and in the hospital. They both die and will reveal that the wealth would get distributed amongst Nithya, Satya, Kireeti, and Shravya. And Shravya becomes the rightful mother of her younger siblings.
